Hi There

Hi Everyone!

I remember the day so crisply.  I was itchy, miserable and constantly running to the bathroom.  There were giant hives all over my body, especially concentrated at my joints.  Reluctantly, I pushed myself to go to the allergist.  My test results came in and my life changed forever.  I went home and cried for hours and stayed in bed all week.  I didn't even know people were allergic to gluten.  Now I am a food-blogging home chef, inspired to share my lifestyle and culinary journey with you.

Weekends With Mom

Organic Yellow Nectarines

My fondest childhood memories include Saturday mornings at the Farmers market with mom. So thankful to have a mom that prioritizes real, fresh food. The summer harvest, always reminds me of the Saturday morning farmers market hustle. She always knew the perfect time to go and negotiated the best deals.

Yellow nectarines are particularly my favorite. I love the crispy sweet and sour ones. These are from my recent visit to the organic farm stand of Sweet Tree Farms of Dinuba, CA

These peaches are divine. I've heard of people having texture issues with peaches because they are fuzzy. Peculiar. Most of the fuzzy things in my life have been wonderful.

I look forward to showing off my harvest soon. In my backyard, I have Yellow Elberta Peaches and White Arctic Rose Nectarines. I just finished thining them and will soon begin putting reflector tape on them, so our sweet neighborhood birds can forage elsewhere.
